Things were tough on Mille Lacs over the weekend.  We tried a number of areas and didn't really
get much going.  We worked deeper mud, some mid-depth gravel and shallow rocks with little
results.  Small Perch were around and active, but aside from that there wasn't much happening.  We
did manage to find a couple keeper Walleye and a few nice Perch on some mud in 31 feet of water.
Aside from that it was small Walleye and Perch.  We had Walleye below us steady on Sunday night
for around 4 hours, but no matter what we threw at them, we couldn't get them to go.  Blue seemed
to be the best color.

After taking yesterday off, it was back up to Mille Lacs today with some better results.  We worked
deep mud in 34 feet of water and managed a nice catch of Perch, the largest being 12.5 inches and
keeping nothing under 10.5 inches.  We didn't really find one presentation that they took an
interest to over anything else.  It seemed like you'd catch one on something and then have to start
switching through the tackle again to find what would get the next fish interested.  The most
important factor today was the Aqua-Vu.  It was an extremely lite bite today.  They would spit it out
just as quickly as they sucked it in.  We also managed two Tullibee, nothing great size wise but
they'll still taste great after they come out of the smoker.  Marmooka's, Gill Pills, and Tear Drops
along with a few others pulled the fish in today.

We had lots of fish around, along with some nice sized Tullibee and some Sumo Perch, but the
majority of them weren't all that interested.

Not sure what is in the cards yet the next couple of days we may fish a couple local lakes.

On a side note, dates are starting to fill for the Tullibee bite, so for those of you that are interested
we'd recommend getting a hold of us and getting a date set.  Visit our Guide Service page for more
information.
